Hotel SP34 in Copenhagen

April 25, 2017

A few days ago I posted Today’s office as I was working in the lobby of SP34 Hotel in Copenhagen. Even though I have been to Copenhagen a few times , this was my first stay at SP34 and I can see this hotel becoming a regular from now on (unless the new Hotel Danmark proves to be an equally great place to stay!). I loved the cool hues in my room, the attention to details, the big windows and ample light, the surfaces and the play on the different materials, everything has a design story to tell. From the spacious lobby where you can work during the day that is comfortably buzzing from the company of the other like minded visitors, to the incredible organic breakfast that is served in Väkst, the in house restaurant, SP34 is the place to call home in Copenhagen, at least for me. Next time I visit I will make sure to take more photos of the lobby and Väkst

A new type of imprint : New edition launch at Frama Showroom

April 23, 2017

If you have been following my stories on Instagram then you have already seen some sneak peeks from the launch of the new edition of A new Type of Imprint , a magazine and platform on creative culture and design, that was held in the Frama Showroom in Copenhagen. In celebration of their 10th issue and their very first jubilee, the annual magazine comes in a special edition box that includes the People Passions Places magazine and an illustration by Laila Myrseth Tryggeseth. Number 10 of A new type of Imprint continues its travels in the Nordics, visits Denmark in a journey to uncover cool and talented Danes all the while challenging our ideas about Danish design. Dont miss its extensive reportage on new and exciting Norwegian creatives as well coming in the form of interviews, essays, photo series and illustrations, this issue is here to impress!

I was so glad I stopped by and got to meet editor-in-chief Veronica Mike Solheim, and even happier I had my camera on hand and managed to shoot a few photos of Frama and the launch of the magazine. Definitely a must visit if you happen to be in Copenhagen. Don’t be fooled by the photos, the space was packed! Hope you enjoy this small tour, I tried to capture the mood of Frama along with some of their products, while enjoying the party!

Today’s Office

April 19, 2017

I am back at Copenhagen for the Trends and Traditions 2017 meeting,  and I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else but at SP34 boutique hotel by Brøchner Hotels . I arrived sooner than expected and due to a system error my room wasn’t ready so the helpful stuff treated me to free drinks as I was waiting for everything to be in order. I had some work to do regardless so I made myself comfortable at what I think is the hotels premium spot for working down in the lobby. I will make sure to snap some photos from my room, but since I love shooting with natural light it will have to wait until tomorrow. Until then feel free to follow my stories on Instagram for timely updates of my whereabouts, beautiful Copenhagen views and of course, everything new and exciting from Trends and Traditions 2017 and the after parties!

Gothenburg – Hotel Pigalle

March 2, 2017

As I mentioned in the previous post, I spend the weekend in Gothenburg with my friend and colleague Elisabeth Heier ( you can see some snaps of her home as shot by me here) where we attended Fridas Trendensers influencers meetup. My hotel of choice this time was Pigalle, a destination on its own while in Gothenburg, not only for a place to stay but also for its great restaurant the Atelier, which is situated on the top floor (where breakfast is served in the mornings) as well as for a drink at the Bar Amuse located at the lobby. The hotel has a special old Parisian vibe, from the decoration to the music that serenades you as you walk around, and even the elevator has something to tell you secretly while you wait..It is truly a unique experience and I would heartily recommend at least visiting Pigalle while in Gothenburg. Below you can find some photos I took during my stay, my room, the Atelier and finally the lobby.
