Home Office

//Photography and Styling by Katerina Dima

I have had the same office space for a long time now, and I feel it needs a change. First thing that comes to mind of course is a new desk and a new chair. I will be making a wishlist soon that will include some of my choices, however don’t be surprised if I end up changing the room altogether as well. I moved the office upstairs so that it would have more light, but I miss a more private space to work, so I might move it back downstairs now that I am renovating the second bedroom. With the right paint on the wall and the right ambient light, even a small room with a small window can look great, and with winter still around I think a cozy office space will not be a bad idea at all. In the meantime I am gathering ideas on my Pinterest board Home – Office. You are welcome to stop by and see where I get my inspiration from.

Home office organization with 3M

June 15, 2016

Ad // Sponsored post in collaboration with 3M®. All opinions are my own.

I have always been a very organized person, I find that regardless of what work you do,your efficiency grows tenfold in you keep an organized space but most importantly, an organized journal/calendar.And even though we are swarmed with technology (I keep online photos, screenshots, etc), writing on paper has always been my preferred method of keeping track of my professional but also personal life. 3M and their sticky notes have a permanent spot on my home office(taking notes, using as bookmarks etc) so I was really excited to see their news including not only new colors and shapes, but XL sizes as well. As you can see from above, the XXXL notes have taken a permanent place on the side of my Macbook. The size is perfect for keeping quick notes or ideas that come to my mind without having to use 2 or 3(or even more) of the smaller sized ones that now are only used for single notes and reminders. If you sign up to 3M newsletter here (you only need a few seconds to fill in the form) you will be send a free sample as well, I am so confident you will love them as much as I do. All sizes come in two variations, with lines or without. Personally I prefer without but in more than few occasions lined ones have also been helpful so I always keep a few stacks of each in my drawers!

//Colors of products above may vary due to editing and screen calibration.

#workworkwork

May 31, 2016

I have been away for the weekend and while I thought I would be able to keep up, it turns out I didn’t have internet which made it very hard for me to work. I am back home now though and finally the weather is good enough to start sanding the floor of our little veranda, in preparation of painting it. I shopped some things for the project, mostly decorations and materials needed for my DIY ideas for the balcony, but also I was lucky to find a blanket I had my eyes on for some time now for less than 100NOK, a real bargain! Off to start, if you follow me on snapchat you will see some early sneak peeks and snaps from the progress 🙂

Catching up and my minimal strawberry mint smoothie.

May 9, 2016

First weekend back home and I have a lot to catch up with. After a month of perpetual travelling, from Milan during Design week, then Finland for the blogging awards, then Greece for two weeks, I am finally home for an entire month and it is going to be a busy one. I decided to take a few weeks off to rest so now I am ready to share with you everything I have been up to and all the news that are to come next few weeks! For today, since the weather was great, I decided to make a strawberry mint smoothie, very minimal, light and delicious!

For a minimal Strawberry Mint Smoothie :

Add a few frozen whole strawberries in your blender.Add half a cup of cold tap water (or more if you prefer a lighter consistency). Add 2 fresh mint leafs. Blend until smooth.

I add no dairy or any sort of granola in this particular smoothie, I find that the flavors are just great on their own, the mint gives a distinct fresh flavor while it also sweetens. You can drink this when you are thirsty or just take it with you to sip while working or on a hike.Either way, it is great for any occasion and since it is so light having double or triple portion is almost recommended! If you have any great smoothie recipes leave a comment below, summer is coming and I love smoothies!
