I have envied the wreaths I saw over pinterest or on blogs that people have been creating for years, and so I decided today as I was wrapping presents it was about time I tried to make one. I hadn’t planned for this and yet I found myself with all necessary things at hand : Eucalyptus leaves ( I got a full bouquet to decorate the presents and fill the vases in the apartment because I love the aroma during Christmas time, plus it is always a pleasure visiting my local florist Winther Blomst), a silver ring to arrange the eucalyptus on ( mine is from Cooee Designs ) and some linen string I bought months ago ( its very useful to have in the house, especially when it looks so beautiful, I found mine at Gathering Objects, I can’t find it online you might have to go locally to find it). I started off thinking it would take me hours, however it barely took a few minutes from start to finish. If I knew it was that easy I would have done it a long time ago! In fact it went so quickly that I completely forgot to take some photos of the process, in fact it was so spontaneous I didnt even think of taking at least a photo of the before! If you want to replicate it, just take sprigs of eucalyptus and attach them one by one on the silver ring (or any ring you might have) using the string, cut pieces as you go, and as a tip : use the smaller sprigs on the top while save the ones with the big leaves for the bottom. This way the wreath will look more balanced and fuller. I could have added more eucalyptus but I liked the way it looked at the end, I just also added in 3 places some flowers I had from a few days ago for variety ( I am sorry but I do not remember the name for those). All in all I am very happy with my wreath, although not professional, I think I did well for my very first time!
