I came back to Oslo on Saturday, and as soon as we parked the car, we left our kitty in the apartment (she was only too happy after 6 hours drive to be able to relax on the couch) with our luggages then quickly took the tram towards Karl Johan. I had preordered grey wrapping paper from Norway Designs (afraid it might run out by the time I was back in Oslo), but while at the store an amazing set of ribbons in golden ochre color ( along with one in mint and brown-grey) caught my eye and of course I added that to the bag as well. Today I woke up, made some tea and started wrapping some of the presents, and I was quite excited really to try out a new technique I had just discovered a few days ago. I am not really a perfectionist when it comes to wrapping presents, however loose edges irritate me, and when it comes to wrapping I always found my self taught way of doing it quite inadequate. I discovered an almost origami way of wrapping rectangular shapes however ( youtube is amazing in this way), and within half an hour I was wrapping my boxes without the need of tape and in perfectly symmetrical edges. I will share within this week a How to, with all my resources and videos to help you out, so if you are about to wrap your presents just wait a few days, I promise it is worth it!
