Styling Windowsills

July 12, 2017

One of the things that were very high in my check list when I was looking for an apartment was high ceilings and big windows with deep windowsills. I ruled out beautiful apartments because the sills in the windows were small, it has been a struggle to find just the right space but now that I did I feel it was well worth the effort. My windowsills are big and beautiful and create the perfect spot for either an impromptu workspace or more commonly, a lamp or two, candles, books etc. Since my apartment is still quite empty, they are a lifesaver, although I dont mind just having things on the floor on stacks of magazines either. My house, my rules 😉 Some of my favorites as of late, the Standard Bordelampe from Menu (it looks amazing when lit at night as well well), Ferm Living marble candleholders (they are minimal and make a statement without taking too much space) and latest magazines and kinto cups (my windowsills also work as a side table for now). There are so many ways you can take advantage of big windows and their sills, I am really looking forward to finding new opportunities this winter , not just for photos, but I have to say, I love how they look everytime I turn around or walk in the room.
