I promised I would share my new bedroom before November ended, and while it is not quite ready yet I am so happy with the result I am posting a sneak peak. I don’t want to reveal too much since a post with all the details (and before photos) will be up soon, but I will share some information and answer some questions I have been asked a lot. 

We moved in yesterday night after letting the floors dry ( painted white) for a few days. So far the paint is holding on quite well although I did put protecting pads under every single furniture that I moved in, including the bed. The only problem is the floor will get dirtier faster, even after a few days and while it was empty, however it is nothing a simple quick swipe with a broom wont fix. I am proceeding with painting the rest of the floors downstairs starting from today so everything is going to be a mess at least until Christmas. 

After we moved the bed in, the only furniture that made the cut were the bed (along with its linens), a marble side table, a table lamp, a pilea plant, a Bluetooth speaker and some hand care creams. 

I returned from Bergen without the IVAR cabinets I wanted to place opposite the bed since they were completely out of stock, so I will have to wait for them or find another storage solution. I do not wish to overcrowd the bedroom, so other than a little bit of storage, a mirror (the Georg mirror from Skagerak is perfect) maybe a basket and am extra chair, I will not be adding too much.

For now, even as empty, I am very happy with the look, I am really looking forward to it finishing though, and hopefully the IVAR cabinets will restock quite soon!
