Midweek Breakfast

January 21, 2015

What an amazing morning today! I woke up in such a great mode, maybe the fact there is ready batter in the fridge for pancakes from yesterday has something to do with it.

While today my breakfast table looks the same (only set for two) I am posting yesterdays photos for you to see how we usually eat in the mornings.

I would love to have posted this yesterday when it was much more current but it was not possible due to time restrictions. Sometimes I want to split into two or three versions of me in order to do everything I want to but at the end I am only one.

This is a very sensitive subject when it comes to blogging and sharing pieces of ones life in social media. It all comes down to either lying about where and what you do or actually do the things you want to but post belated. I would have loved to say this was todays breakfast, and how fun it was baking the pancakes then enjoying them with the rest of our breakfast while talking and drinking tea and coffee. The fact of the matter is though that if I wanted to post about it I would have to be at my computer while everyone else was doing what I would be writing about.

Taking photos was the easy part (even though I only took photos while the pancakes were baking) but I edit my photos before I post them. Creating a blogpost after that takes at least an hour and by the time I was done breakfast would have been long over. I used to try to do everything at the same time when I realized I am writing about the things I was supposed to be doing but I wasn’t there to enjoy them. So some time ago I decided to delay my posts if I have to and live the life I am writing about instead.

I hope you enjoy the photos, I can tell you breakfast was amazing! Leftover chicken pie, meats and cheese platter, fruits pancakes and ice cream. It doesn’t get better than this 🙂

Beautiful breakfast! I already pinned it via pinterest.:-) I don't se any problem with posting something from yesterday! I post sometimes on instragram pics older then a week. I won't write about it as if I made them today, but this is also not a core information of a good picture! ;-)I would never prefer social media to a real life and to spend my time with dear people. And I do wonder, following some blogs, when this people manage to live? They post every day 5-6-7 pics of their life, everything perfectly staged and write a long blog text to that. And do sports and go out and cook great meals, so sometimes I do wonder what I am doing wrong or if only my day has 24 hours. Social media ist so fast living thing, it will consume more and more of your life If you (and me) don't draw the line. I would not have a problem seeing pics a week or month old if this means a blogger enjoyed their life in the meantime. Have a nice day 🙂

I couldn't have said it any better. Life first, social media second :)Gorgeous photos!

I know a lot of bloggers that have this problem, it is just not possible for them to separate their lives from their social media/blogs. And it is very easy to get sucked in! Lets say here in Norway the only possible time to actually take photos is between 12 to 2 midday. If you don't do it at that point there will be no light to take decent photos. I edit my photos as well so this time limitation makes it impossible for me to do everything. I have to choose. In other countries maybe it is a bit easier? I don't know. I hope everyone has their lives in priority though! I love blogging and connecting but I am willing to do it a few hours later 🙂 Thank you ladies for your sweet comments!

It is really hard to separate them isnt it! I keep having this ongoing struggle but I am always trying to live the life I blog about, I would love for the day to have at least 40 hours though! 🙂
