Design Letters in my Bedroom

September 17, 2014

As a lot of you know I am spending a few more weeks in Greece and thus staying in my parents home. For the time I will be staying here I had to change rooms and say goodbye to the custom beautiful build in shelves I had created (as viewed here) and move to a different room. I loved my old premises but I saw this as a wonderful opportunity for a change. I thought it would be a great way to test sleeping in new colors and since I am alone here why not create a soft feminine pastel environment? I haven’t grown tired of white but a change is always welcome! I painted the walls a beautiful dirty pastel pink and I couldn’t be happier about it! Therefore as soon as I saw this months competition in NiB I knew my new bedroom would fit right in 🙂
(This will be my contribution to the NiB challenge!)

Onto the decoration itself!

Today I received in my mail a package I have been so excited and couldn’t wait for it to arrive.

I think you all know how much I love the Design Letters brand ( you can follow them on Facebook and on Instagram as well for exciting news), their products appear multiple times on my blog (here or here or here or here or here , I daresay there are too many links to include) and on my Instagram (here and here and here for example). So how can I not be impatient when I know a big Design Letters package was traveling my way?

A little background on the brand, Design Letters is a Danish Design Company that has introduced first wooden letters, then porcelain cups, plates, vases teapots etc with a typography hand drawn in 1937 by the world renowned Danish Architect Arne Jacobsen.

Before I even started blogging I was feverishly trying to find where I could buy a cup like the ones I was seeing in all the Nordic blogs with my initial on. It didn’t take me long time before I found out about Design Letters and their products and they have been one of my favorites every since then.

After I came to Greece I have suffered from loss of space since I had to change rooms. My new bedroom is a little smaller than the previous one  when it comes to one of its side and for some time now I have been looking for the perfect night stand that wouldn’t take too much space. The Design Letters Table to Go fits perfectly beside my bed plus you can pick it up from its handle and transport it anywhere with ease! I can’t wait to get this back to Norway, it will look great in my living room beside the couch! Another little touch is the Television Mirror that I hang above it, perfect to get a glimpse of yourself! All in all this just became my favorite corner to sit and drink my tea in the afternoon!

Oh wow, this table looks so nice! I didn't know before that Design Letters has also some pieces of furniture on their collection! I can totally see why this is now your favorite spot!

Oh yes not only that, but towels for the kitchen, beautiful duvets, sooo many more things indeed! The table is so easy to move as well with its handle and although I have it down for show it also rests on the side of the table hugging the top perfectly 🙂
