My Morning Cozy Corner - A Good Day Starts Here!

I love a cozy corner. No matter the time of the day I will always retreat there with a cup of warm chocolate and something to read whether that’s a book, a magazine or my iPad.

When it’s winter, in the morning, I love creating a cozy nook by the sofa by layering sheepskins on the warm wooden floor, lighting a candle or two and laying there softly while drinking my tea. In Norway mornings are very dark and I find the candle light exceptionally soothing. I always try to place myself also near a basket of extra pillows and soft blankets just in case.

I love the IKEA challenge from NIB this month because it represents my line of thinking when it comes to decorating and styling. You don’t have to buy the most expensive or designers furniture in order to make yourself an interior where you can start and end your day in a stylish way. You only need some creativity and stay true to your heart, it will always guide you to the right direction!

When it comes to me, I only need a cozy sheepskin, a mug of hot chocolate, candles and soft pillows and blankets on the floor to start my day! Well, I might migrate on my couch with my laptop if needed but that’s why I choose to create my soft cozy spot next to it in the first place 😉
