It is amazing how a space becomes alive through it’s details.
I love minimalism but I always disliked the clinical feel some interior designers went for their photos. I understand that it’s supposed to reflect the perfect architectural home but I always believed that a home is mostly found in it’s details whereas a house is based on it’s design.
In my mind you should’t have one without the other but given the choice to forever live in a space that I could never be allowed to change I would always choose a cozy minimal house rather than a perfect clinical space.

GET THE LOOK
When we bought the couch and our Conform Chairs (as seen in many posts like here, here and here) we were lucky enough to be given a lovely white Icelandic sheepskin at half price. I have to profess my love for all sheepskins of every kind but the Icelandic one is by far my favorite with it’s soft skin and long soft hair. I usually drape it around furniture but it also serves as a temporary rag to sit on the floor when the mood calls for it. The grey sheepskin on the couch can be found for a great price at IKEA in different colors!
The candleholder is from Menu and the design comes in 5 different colors and in 2 versions, one for the wall as seen below and as a table version as seen above. Coupled with a chocolate in an Arne Jacobsen Design letters mug (with my initial) and an interior design book it’s the perfect spot for a cozy afternoon. For if or when I get a little cold having an extra blanket near is great. The Ferm Living basket in Large size is perfect for holding in quite a lot of extra pillows ( mine are from H&M ) and a couple of blankets. Extra light if needed from the Muuto E27 lamp I drape everywhere and I am ready for the perfect afternoon.
