Yesterday I talked a little bit about how lately people seem to be put off by Pinterest and perfect photos on blogs. I made a point saying that we should really be using all of our virtual sources as inspiration rather than set them on a pedestal and otherwise enjoy beauty wherever we can find it.
It made me think of how it is really easy for anyone with behind the camera experience to understand how easily photos can turn from bland to something potentially really special.
I remember back when I first started taking photographs and how I got into it.
I didn’t really know how to edit my photos or how to even shoot in anything else than auto mode.
To my surprise looking back the result wasn’t as bad but I can definitely see how the same photos today would look so much better. If you are starting now, do a little research on the basics and don’t feel obligated to produce the perfect photos. The experience will come with time and the feeling of growing as a photographer will be all the more rewarding.
If you have any questions and you are just starting out don’t hesitate to contact me!
The photos above are few of my very first photos! I am proud and horrified at the same time but I wanted to share them so I could encourage all the people that want to start but feel intimidated. Everyone has to start somewhere and trust me, it only gets better!
